Jin-hyon Lee was born on Je-ju Island, South Korea in 1972 and entered the Jesuit novitiate in 2000.

On 06 February 2002 Jin-hyon took his first vows and, three years later, completed a Master's Degree in Philosophy at the Sogang Graduate School of Theology in Seoul, Korea.

During his regency, Jin-hyon worked in a Café "Window on Life", part of the Social Apostolate, in Inchon, Korea.

He came to Australia in July 2007 and is studying at the Jesuit Theological College.
